My approach is deeply rooted in the belief that we all have an innate capacity for healing and growth. With 20 years in the clinical field, my goal is to help you access your core self and unlock your potential for profound transformation by creating a safe, empathetic, and emotionally attuned environment. Together, we’ll work to identify and process emotions that may have been avoided or suppressed, allowing you to experience a more profound sense of authenticity and connection with yourself and others.
Through extensive Bowen Family Systems training in Vancouver, to Narrative Therapy, I have worked with hundreds of clients, couples and families. My studies brought me from the diagnostic research of bipolar disorder and substance use to autism therapy in children and teenagers. My clinical work now focuses on adults, couples, and families with the least-invasive-first, mindfulness based practice and systems thinking.
I live in the beautiful Kootenay Region of British Columbia with my husband/partner on a small organic hobby farm, and a few animals from an Anatolian sheep dog to the equine species. I will be expanding to in-person in the future in the town of Nelson, BC.
My personal life journey has been one deeply connected to nature, skiing, practicing meditation yoga and a respect for all living things. I have a deep passion for the outdoors, equestrian and hiking activities as well as travel abroad.
I work well with unique and creative clients, who may have experienced the focus of family anxiety, describe feeling misunderstood, unseen or unheard. My approach is also in line with those who are open to an alternative lens, viewing possibilities and the beauty the present moment.
I understand that taking the first step in seeking therapy can be daunting, which is why I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation with me. This will give us an opportunity to connect, discuss your needs, and determine if we would be a good fit for each other.
